It feels like it should be more simple & less a proclamation, like the modern part should be shorter & sensitive might be a bit more drawn out, but still not too grandiose. Its hard to describe in words, but I thought I would try. I like the lyrics of this though. I think it could be great. I think there are some good parts in it, and I still like the idea, but I don't know about this as it is... maybe it was just the recording, maybe the arrangement, maybe the melody, I don't know.
