As a singer/songwriter based in Austin, TX, I’m continually focused on improving my songwriting. I started this blog to publish my hands-on studies of hit country songs, which I learn to play, record (either low-fi or home-studio style) and then write about my experience of learning and recording it. However, since starting this project, I’ve begun to include posts of original songs as well as updates about any shows I am playing or any studio recordings I’m making with the two bands I am in. I write for and front The Georgian Company (and play acoustic guitar and banjo), and I play bass in Treaty Oak. I’ve produced studio records for The Georgian Company and for my previous band, Just Guns.
